Stepping into a new bunch of 365 days

The new year is a blank book. The pen is in your hands,
it is your chance to write a beautiful story for yourself.
Happy New Year!

The year 2020 that came with a bang a year back has moved on. Not sure whether the year has moved on or we are moving on by leaving the year behind us!

What all did we see in the year 2020? Things which we never heard of, not dreamt of. When I read in the newspaper about a city closing in somewhere else, I could not believe it. We were wondering whether it is possible anytime?

But as the year progressed, it became a new normal across the world. Our city also went for the dreaded lockdown. Overnight, the world looked so different. Masks and sanitizers became the most talked-about accessories to purchase. Grocery shopping was the only thing other than medicine and hospitals for which one can go outside for. Office came home to many. The office and household work started to coexist, co-live. Many lost their jobs, businesses, and means to take care of themselves and their families. New businesses and different types of jobs popped up from nowhere. When the retail outlets were facing the brunt of lockdown, online retailers had unexpected growth. Medical and cleaning staff are the ones who braved the situation and worked day and night to take care of the people.

This year also came with quite a many good things. Reduced pollution, increased family time, lessons on the importance of home-cooked food, increased awareness of health& hygiene, and many more.

Whatever the case may be, we are stepping into a new year with many hopes. Ready to embrace the things that may be there in store for us. What are you planning to do in 2021? New resolutions, new goals, new dreams that come with our hopes.

HOPE is the only thing
Stronger than the FEAR

Let us get up and get going with new zest and hopes and walk into the year with courage.

When thinking of the new year, I thought about books I would read. This is the first time I thought about it in advance. Otherwise, I am more like a wanderer in the world of books. I keep reading based on my mood and the availability of books. Thanks to my daughter for introducing me to bullet journaling that I never heard of earlier, because of which I could think of a reading list.

So I made a list of books, I had some, and ordered a few more in the last week of December. Here is my list. Along with the listed ones, I may read some more. Missed vacation due to the pandemic helped me do some reading at the end of the year and plan for the new year. Though I could not write anything in December, hopeful about better consistency for the new year.

What are your thoughts on 2020? What are you planning for 2021? My best wishes for your resolutions and goals. Take care, and stay safe.
